Blake's McFarland gets visit from Gators

Quote:
Just one look at Blake junior Michael McFarland reveals his promise as a college football recruit.

On Wednesday, the 6-foot-6, 230-pound McFarland received a visit from Florida assistant head coach Dan McCarney, former Yellow Jackets coach Sean Washington said.

McFarland, who played quarterback and tight end for the Yellow Jackets last year, already owns offers from Boston College and FIU, but Washington said the Gators and USF have shown increased interest the past few weeks.

"He's got tremendous upside as an athlete," Washington said of McFarland, who is also averaging double figures on the upstart Blake basketball team.
