Scott could be next great West Coast WR - ESPN
Quote:
It doesn't look like a particularly strong year for receivers in the West Coast class of 2010 but one player who should make a lot of noise is Kenneth Scott (Ontario, Calif./ Colony).
"Right now, the schools I'm hearing from are Arizona State, Washington, Colorado, USC, Florida State, Michigan, Oregon, Cal, UCLA, Arizona and Oregon State," said Scott, who caught 31 balls for 655 yards and five touchdowns as a junior. "I think Washington State could be the next school to offer me.
"I have a buddy up there and he said the coaches like me a lot and I was e-mailing with the wide receivers coach and he said I should be getting an offer from them soon as well."
As for early favorites, Scott said five schools currently stand out for him.
"In no order, I like Washington State, UCLA, Colorado State, ASU and Cal," Scott said. "Morrell Presley and Brandon Sermons always talk to me about UCLA. My teammate Josh Andrews signed with Oregon State and he talks up the Beavers and Terrence Miller signed with Arizona and wants me to go there with him.
"It's cool though. Right now, I'm just working out hard and getting ready for the spring camps and combines. I can't wait for the NIKE Camp at USC. I went last year and plan to put on a good show this year for sure."

Scott excited about Aztecs' offer - ESPN
Quote:
Wide out Kenneth Scott (Ontario, Calif./ Colony) picked up his third scholarship offer and his first from an in-state school.
"I just got offered by San Diego State," Scott said. "I'm pretty excited about this one because I've already visited the school and I like the new coaching staff a lot. They have a great campus, I went to their last game of the season a year ago and really liked it there a lot.
"I know Al Borges is the offensive coordinator and they'll run a pro-style offense, which is similar to my high school offense. So I know the learning curve will be shorter for me and I'll be able to adjust to it a lot easier than another type of offense. He was at UCLA and had a lot of success there, so I think the team will be good in the future."
Scott was previously offered by Colorado State and UTEP, but said the Aztecs are very intriguing to him at the moment.
"Coach [Rocky] Long, the former head coach at New Mexico, is the one recruiting me," Scott said. "With coach Long and coach Borges, that's a good staff right there. I'm definitely going to check them out in the summer and I'm looking forward to finding out as much as I can about them."
