At this point in time I think it will be a relative unknown to major college football. JMO but each top name that has stayed this long and not accepted is out of the running, and that is why I think it will be a lesser known coach.

Look for a full-court press on Schiano...

This might end all speculation as to Miles. I still think at some point he will regret not going. If I ever had a shot at my dream job, I wouldn't think twice about taking it.

I don't think Schiano ever had serious interest in the job.
He would have been a terrible hire too. Michigan fans, if they care about their program, they need to start a grass roots campaign to hire Brian Kelly. He's the only good solution left.

I agree about Kelly but I think there are a few other names out there...like Chuck Martin at GVSU.

Why is every so against an in-house hire? I still think Ron English is their best option. He is a great recruiter (Won Rivals Big Ten Recruiter of the Year), a very solid coach, has developed his players about as well as anyone, etc. I think he would be a fantastic hire.

For those who didn't hear, West Virginia Head Ball Coach Rich Rodriguez is the new target. He reportedly spoke with Michigan yesterday.

Rivals.com College Football - Michigan lands West Virginia's Rodriguez
Rich Rodriguez to Michigan.
Probably considered a sexy hire, but he is well known for letting in athletes with questionable academics.
