What a sad story. I'll never understand why these kids allow themselves to get involved with these types of situations, especially with so much at stake. Even more sad is the effect that this will have on this young lady (if true) the rest of her life. I'm sure this also not how the new head coach, Tim Brewster, wanted to start his job.

Investigators estimated the woman's blood-alcohol content was more than 0.30 percent when they say Daniels used his cell phone to film Jones with the woman. Forensic scientists later recovered a portion of the deleted video from the phone and say they have DNA evidence linking Jones to the woman. Jones was released from jail on $25,000 bail on Tuesday.

Here's another article from a few days earlier, that says the party was organized by another former player, Robert McField, who had already been kicked off of the team and convicted of two armed robberies. It seems that these other players should have known better than to be hanging out with that guy.
