Harper Not Revealing Much
By Phil Kornblut
RB Jamie Harper (6-0 222) of Jacksonville has over 30 offers, and according to his coach, he has not worked the list down to a group of favorites. "He has not made any indications," coach Verlon Dorminey said. "He's going to weight all of his options. He'll take all five of his visits and then decide." Harper was at the Tennessee-Florida game last weekend. He also has been to Clemson for a game. Dorminey said Harper probably will set officials with Florida and Clemson, and he said he also likes USC. He's also talked about setting visits with Georgia, LSU and Georgia Tech.

Harper, Allen No Shows At Clemson
By Phil Kornblut
Two top prospects who had planned to make unofficial visits to Clemson Saturday, RB Jamie Harper (6-0 222) of Jacksonville, FL and TE Dwayne Allen (6-4 240) of Fayetteville, NC, didn't make it in. Harper had planned to ride in with his friend, quarterback Kyle Parker, who has already committed to Clemson. "It was raining pretty bad and his daddy didn't want us to drive, so we just chilled this weekend," Harper said. "I haven't really been too much focusing on recruiting. I've been working on the grades. I'm still open. They are all recruited me about the same. Nobody is standing out too much." Clemson and USC are among the more than 30 offers for Harper. He has not decided on his official visits but conceded that Clemson "probably will get one." Harper has been to games at Clemson, Florida and Auburn and will go to the Miami at Florida State game this weekend. In five games this season he has rushed for 535 yards and 8 touchdowns and is averaging 12.8 yards per carry.
Allen, who has been committed to Georgia, said he just decided not to make the visit. He has been to USC, Georgia and North Carolina unofficially. Georgia is the only official visit he is certain about.

Harper Commitment Possible This Weekend
By Phil Kornblut
According to a source familiar with his plans, RB Jamie Harper (6-0 222) of Jacksonville, FL may pull the trigger on a commitment to Clemson Saturday while on an unofficial visit with the Tigers for the Wake Forest game. Harper made an unofficial visit to Clemson early in the season and has had the Tigers are the top of his list. He also considered Florida, Florida State, Tennessee and Auburn. He is close friends with Tiger quarterback commitment Kyle Parker, and Parker also will make an unofficial visit to Clemson Saturday. Harper also plays linebacker but has been recruited as a running back. He rushed for 1400 yards last season.

Harper, Andrews Enjoy Clemson Win
By Phil Kornblut
RB Jamie Harper (6-0 222) and DB Daniel Andrews (6-1 195) of Trinity Christian High School in Jacksonville, FL traveled together to Clemson this weekend for the Tigers' game with Wake Forest. Harper has long been a Tiger target while Andrews just recently was offered by Clemson.
There was an indication last week Harper might commit to Clemson on the visit but he said Sunday he's not ready to make a final decision. "The environment like that (at Clemson) makes it hard (not to make a commitment)," Harper said. "It was just like last time, a great atmosphere and great people. It's a great place to be. The coaches are down to earth, cool people. They are telling me they want me. But I'm still open." Harper said he will take an unofficial visit to Florida for the Florida State game. He also is still looking at Florida State, Miami, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU and Illinois. He said he does not have a favorite. Harper said he doesn't have an official visit date set with Clemson but he likely will visit the same weekend as Andrews, January 11th. This season Harper has rushed for 1000 yards averaging 11.5 yards per carry, and he's scored 13 touchdowns.
