Jackets seek OL, DL help | ajc.com
Quote:
Mum's the word from Thomasville defensive lineman Brandon Thompson on his college plans.
"He just doesn't talk much," Thomasville coach Richie Marsh said. Thompson, Scout.com's fourth-ranked defensive tackle, visited Tech on Sept. 29 and Ohio State on Nov. 2.
His other frontrunners: Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU and Miami.
"I think he's got an interest in Georgia Tech," Marsh said. "And just from knowing everything, I'm sure he's still considering Clemson."

Rivals $ (Clemson)
Brandon says his top three schools (in order) are Clemson, LSU and Georgia Tech. He says he is probably done with visits and will likely make a final decision in January. Georgia Tech really went all out for him.

No Decision Soon From Thompson
By Phil Kornblut
It does not appear DL Brandon Thompson (6-2 275) of Thomasville, GA will make up his mind on a college anytime soon. Thompson, who made an official visit to Clemson last weekend, was expected to make his decision soon after that visit, perhaps even commit to Clemson while on campus. But he said Thursday he has more thinking to do. "I want to take another visit before I make my decision," Thompson said. "I plan to visit Tennessee." No date for that visit has been set. Thompson also has visited LSU, Georgia Tech and Ohio State and he said all four of the schools he's visited are still in the running. As for his weekend at Clemson, Thompson said it gave his parents a chance to look things over. "My mom got down there to see the place," he said. "And I really enjoyed the people and the players." Thompson said he has no favorite right now.

From the Clemson site. Thompson will visit Tennessee before making his final choice. Brandon will also be playing in the ESPN all-star game.

Thompson Gets A Date With The Vols
By Phil Kornblut
DL Brandon Thompson (6-2 275) of Thomasville, GA has been planning to take a January official visit to Tennessee, and now he has a date set with the Vols. He will visit Knoxville January 11th. "I'm just going to check out the school and get a feel for everything," Thompson said. "I'll make my decision a week or two after the visit." It won't be his first trip to Knoxville. He made an unofficial visit to see the Vols play USC this season. Thompson has officially visited Clemson, LSU, Georgia Tech and Ohio State and said all four are still on his mind. He hasn't heard from Clemson since the start of the dead period, but "Clemson is still strong," he said.
