Clemson offered WR Kinsman Thomas (6-3 195) of Marlboro County last week according to his coach Dean Boyd. "Clemson thinks he's big and special," Boyd said. "USC wants to eyeball him. He was at their camp but they didn't know he was there." Thomas will visit Clemson Saturday. He also has been to USC. Vanderbilt also has offered and he's getting interest from Southern Cal, Michigan, Alabama, North Carolina, NC State and Virginia Tech. Boyd said Southern Cal is showing a lot of interest. Last season Thomas had 27 catches for 480 yards and eight touchdowns. He also had two interceptions on defense. He also plays free safety.

Thomas Feeling Good About Clemson
By Phil Kornblut

WR Kinsman Thomas (6-3 195) of Marlboro County visited Clemson Saturday and the Tigers are out front for his services. "They are right here in South Carolina and I love the coaches," said Thomas who is good friends with Clemson linebacker Kendrick Taylor. "I like the weight room and the strength coach." Thomas said he talked with offensive coordinator Rob Spence but didn't get the chance to talk to head coach Tommy Bowden or receivers coach Dabo Swinney. Thomas said he's considering committing to Clemson and might do so at their spring game April 12th. He has offers from Clemson and Vanderbilt and thinks USC is going to offer soon. He plans to attend Clemson's and USC's spring games. He also likes Georgia Tech and Southern Cal.

Thomas also has been to Clemson and Virginia. He has offers from USC, Clemson and Vanderbilt. He's also getting interest from Southern Cal, Alabama, Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Duke, Kentucky and others. He does not have a favorite. "I'm just waiting to see right now," Thomas said. NC State is one of the offers for Marlboro County WR Kinsman Thomas (6-3 195) and seems to want him more than the rest according to his coach. "NC State likes him a lot," Dean Boyd said. "They've shown the biggest interest in him. He likes USC a lot because they showed big interest early, but not as much recently." Thomas also has offers from USC, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Illinois and North Carolina according to his coach. He's also drawn interest from Duke, Southern Cal and Georgia Tech.

ATH Kinsman Thomas (6-3 195) of Marlboro County hoped to commit to USC Friday at the Gamecocks' Showcase Camp, but he knew he had to impress the coaches with a better 40 speed than he had recorded at an earlier combine. That didn't happen. "Everything was good until I had to run the 40," Thomas said. "They said I clocked at a 4.8, but my coach said he clocked me at 4.68. I don't know what's up with the time. They (USC) said they wanted me to wait (to commit) until my 40 time came down. I'm going to sit back and see what happens. To be honest with you, I really didn't know how to run a 40 until Wednesday or Thursday. Once I get my technnique down I can get it faster." Thomas said USC was still his favorite and receiver David Reaves told him he's still interested. He said NC State and Illinois are two others showing strong interest and he hopes to visit NC State soon.
