Sorry, I was just looking over the pruned RU forum and noticed that I forgot to do a few updates.

Shakim Phillips grew up a fan of Georgia and Florida, even though his home state is New Jersey. Now, he’s a fan of Connecticut, Duke and Syracuse—because all three universities have extended him a scholarship offer to play football. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound wide receiver is a junior at Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic, and with more than a year left before the 2010 version of national signing day, he already has many options.
UConn and Syracuse extended written scholarship offers on the first day they could—Sept. 1.

By M Alkire. Phillips couldn't make it to Pitt this weekend, but plans to still visit soon. Georgia and Tennessee have been in contact, and he says he would like to play in the SEC.

Phillips added that he hasn't started to narrow down his list and that he's interested in some other schools that have not offered yet, such as Ohio State.
Additionally, the 6-foot-2, pass-catcher is planning a Midwest tour this summer, "I want to visit a lot of schools this summer. 'm looking at the Big Ten, but I haven't visited any of them yet. I'll get out to some Big Ten schools this summer."
Phillips caught 40 passes for 765 yards (19.1 average) and 10 touchdowns during his junior campaign. He also rushed for 289 yards and one touchdown and returned one kickoff for a score.

Enjoyed his visit to UNC. Pitt is recruiting him the hardest, and he likes them a lot. Those teams will make his top 5, along with Rutgers.

I am thinking the last two spots are BC and UGA. I have always felt pretty confident with Phillips, and that hasn't changed yet. It could though.

Are you just basing that off Farrell liking Phillips way too much? I dunno, think you have a much better chance at Felder.

It has nothing to do with Farrell,I don't have a Rivals account. He has consistently mentioned BC,and said at one of the campa that BC was a lock for an official as well as UGA. I think those two are the last two officials for him. I like our chances with Felder as well, but he seems to want to check everyone out,so I won't really be able to get a feel on him until after his visits. Anyway I hope I'm right about Phillips, but if not I wish him the best.

Wow I had heard that he had only given 3 of his top 5. I hope that changes. I don't know what happened there,it seemed we were in great shape. Good luck,I have nothing against RU some BC do,but I don't. Just keep him away from Pitt.

It's not a huge loss. Phillips is a decent player, but he's not going to be a star. He thinks he's a factory guy, but isn't on that level. I like Tejay Johnson and Bennett Jackson better just in state. I don't care if he goes to Pitt or UNC, I think we're involved with better players.
