Football Recruiting News
Quote:
Emory has offers from Missouri, Colorado, Texas, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas Tech, Tulsa, Kansas State, East Carolina, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, UTEP and others.
“Texas Junior Days was fun. I met Coach Brown and the staff. Texas has great facilities the weight room is huge.” said Blake.
“Texas was unsure of me at first and they offered me a grey shirt scholarship.” he said, “Texas coaches told me to be patient. I talked it over with my parents about the grey shirt and they seem not to mind it. I have a lot of offers on the table so I have options. I’m not really a Texas fan I like to watch football on television, a fan.”
“They (Texas) have 19 commitments and will sign 22. If someone decommits they will offer me a (regular) scholarship.” he Blake
“Last year I saw Texas play Nebraska and Texas Tech.”
“Texas A&M invited me down but I didn’t make it.” said Blake, “I haven’t talked to them since. If you don’t show interest in A&M they back off.”
“LSU Junior Days was nice.” he said, “I liked the academic center for all the athletes that’s my favorite part. All the coaches are different they have their own style.”
“I went to USC summer camp it was fun. I tested OK at the camp, once I got off the plane the camp started.” said Blake, “They didn’t offer me. I’m going to call the USC coaches and see what they thought of me. There were lots of players there. The campus was real nice.”
“I like Coach Carroll he played with my dad in the NFL.” he said
“Tulsa is a small school.” said Blake, “They were number one in the country total offense. They threw for over 5000 yards last year.” he said, “I’m going to Tulsa’s summer camp July 18-19. Tulsa didn’t say I could play early, I would have to earn my way.”
“It doesn’t bother me much that they (Tulsa) play in a small conference. My dad played for East Carolina.” he said
“Nebraska says I could play as a freshman. I might take an unofficial at Nebraska. I talk to Coach Brown every two weeks. Nebraska said they really like how I play and want me to come. Some schools like Nebraska and Missouri need a big, strong wide receiver.” said Blake
“I’m not sure when I will commit. I would like to take all my visits. Tulsa, USC, Texas, Texas Tech, Nebraska and Colorado are recruiting me the hardest.” he said

Liked his visit to CU and has already visited BC. Texas Tech is next, and he won't decide until after he takes all his visits. Also considering visiting Kansas.
