Prospect Wadley lists Vols among top three : Football Recruiting : GoVolsXtra.com

Andre Wadley’s official visit to Tennessee further cemented the Vols in his top three.

The 6-foot-2, 245-pound defensive end from Hernando, Miss., also lists Auburn and Mississippi State in his top trio.

“It was great,” Wadley said of last weekend’s visit to Knoxville. “I liked it. It was pretty cool.”

Wadley said he was particularly impressed with his official hosts: defensive ends Ben Martin and Chris Walker.

Wadley said on-field success will be just part of the equation as he selects his school of choice.

“Tennessee seemed like a pretty good place for me, college wise and school wise,” Wadley said. “I wasn’t just trying to look (at schools) as far as football.”

Wadley has already visited Auburn and will take his official visit to Mississippi State this weekend.

“It’s pretty wide open right now,” he said.

Wadley said Southern Miss, Ole Miss and Alabama are the schools outside his top three still vying for his attention. He said he may even add another official visit to his itinerary, although that’s not the plan at present.

Wadley said he plans to make his decision on or just before National Signing Day on Feb. 6.

“It might be a little earlier,” he said.

Andre Wadley's brother, Johnny Wadley, played offensive tackle for Mississippi State and Andre visited the Bulldogs on Jan. 18. "My brother just told me not to make a decision on him or anybody else," the younger Wadley said. "He said it's all on me and that it's my decision. That's really the only advice he gave me." Expect Wadley to make an announcement on signing day.

Wadley says he will sign with Auburn - Tracking the Tigers - al.com

Quote:
Defensive lineman Andre Wadley of Hernando, Miss., said Wednesday he plans to sign with Auburn.

Wadley confirmed to Inside The Auburn Tigers and Auburnsports.com that he had chosen the Tigers over offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Wadley, 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds, was Auburn's second commitment of the day. Defensive lineman Jomarcus Savage of Johnson High School in Huntsville announced Wednesday morning that he will sign with the Tigers.
