Monticello safety Brishen Mathews became the fourth in-state athlete to receive a scholarship offer from the Razorbacks on Thursday afternoon.

Mathews, 6-1, 190, 4.55, called recruiting coordinator Tim Horton and was offered after a few minutes of conversation.

"He told me he wanted me to be a Hog," Mathews said. "At first, I thought he was going to say, 'I'm just joking with you.' Then, I said, 'Coach, that sounds great.' It seems like a dream come true."

Mathews, who said Ole Miss offered about a week and half ago, said he's probably going to make his college decision after his season is complete.
