From the FSU site. Johnson has been offered by FSU and Nebraska. He says he is wide open, and will take all of his visits.

LOCAL FOOTBALL RECRUITING NOTEBOOK- al.com

Johnson in no hurry to make up his mind:
Nico Johnson said his goal is to wait until National Signing Day to make his college decision.
Scout.com rates the Andalusia rising senior as a five-star prospect and the 50th best player in the nation. Rivals.com rates him a four-star recruit, but the 30th overall national prospect.
The middle linebacker has almost decided where he will take his five official visits.
"The four I am going to visit right now are USC, Texas A&M, LSU and Florida," he said. "That's no particular order there. USC will be my first official visit. But that's probably four of the five I will visit. I don't think I even have a fifth one figured out yet."
He's still a bit cloudy about the decision, saying that he has "lot of figuring out" to do. He said no school or schools should be considered in the lead.
"I'm wide open about it right now," he said. "Just looking at the best option for my major. I want to major in criminal justice."
Alabama and Auburn have both offered. He said he is still considering both schools.
"I go to Alabama and Auburn all the time with recruiting," he said. "Everybody tries to tell me to go to one or the other. I'm just trying to see beyond the state and see what the rest of the colleges in America have to offer. I want to go somewhere that's going to be hard to go on my own with my official visits."
Rivals.com rates Johnson as the second-best prospect in the state and credits him with 28 tackles for losses across the last two years.
"A lot of people say I play like (former Alabama standout) DeMeco Ryans on the field," Johnson said. "I really haven't ever seen him play, but I take it as a compliment since he's in the NFL."

Not Picking Sides By Allen Wallace

"I haven't even started narrowing things down," said linebacker Nico Johnson. "I'd like to wait until signing day to decide unless the pressure gets to be too much. I just want to take my time, but I know that I really need to start thinking about recruiting a little bit more." Johnson says he followed both Alabama and Auburn as a youngster and insists he never picked a side in their rivalry.

ESPN - Nico Johnson could follow form and stay in-state - Football Recruiting

There is no question that most of the state of Alabama's top prospects stay in-state to play college football for either the Crimson Tide or the Auburn Tigers. In the Class of 2009, it appears that another talented player from the Yellowhammer State may indeed stick close to his hometown.
Linebacker Nico Johnson (Andalusia, Ala.) does not claim a leader at this point but says proximity will play a factor in his final decision when he makes it.
"Getting far away from home could be a big issue," Johnson said. "My mom is sick all the time and I need to stay close to here."
Johnson's mother Mamie is a diabetic.
At this point, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound ESPNU 150 member has five schools at the top of his list and under consideration.
"Right now, it's Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU and Texas A&M," Johnson said.
