Watson does not possess an overly strong arm when throwing outs, but he does get decent velocity on his deeper balls. He does show nice touch on the deep ball as well, often hitting his receivers in stride. He reads defenses well, but needs too improve his decision making. He moves well and throws very well on the run to either side of the pocket. Makes a lot of plays with his legs.

Montgomery High senior quarterback Kevin Watson, a first team Courier News All-Area player last fall, has committed to play at College of the Holy Cross, according to his coach, Zoran Milich.

Watson, also a standout lacrosse player, was the key in Montgomery's milestone season that featured the team's first playoff berth and a 9-2 record.

Watson threw for 2,039 yards and 21 touchdowns and rushed for 223 yards on 54 carries last season, leading the Cougars to the Central Group IV playoffs and a win over South Brunswick. He threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns in the playoff win.

He threw for more than 5,000 yards for his career.
