Two way linemen Ryan Spiker from Tri-Valley (OH) High School became the Mountaineers third offensive line commitment in the Class of 2009.
Spiker chose WVU over Michigan State and Indiana. He also had offers from Cincinnati, North Carolina State and Wake Forest, among others. He had 12 Division I offers total.
"I went to their spring practice," Spiker told the Zanesville Times Recorder. "I really like the offensive line coach (David Johnson) and (Head) Coach (Bill) Stewart seems like a really good guy. Just going around campus and all of that, it just kinda stuck out to me. I fit in there."
