SCOUTING WALLACE: Before his junior season began, there was a feeling that the biggest impact he would make for this Dwyer program would be on the defensive side of the ball, where safety, defensive end and a number of other positions awaited for this impressive athlete.
As his junior season unfolded, he was moved to quarterback, although most colleges we spoke to felt that he would be a great defensive player. It's at the quarterback position where colleges have been having a change of heart.
His speed, ability to read defenses and overall athletic prowess has made him one of Palm Beach County's top quarterbacks this season, and for good reason.
The night we saw him, in a game against a very good Jupiter team, he threw for 151 yards on 7 completions and showed that he had impressive arm strength, showed the ability to make decisions and had tremendous leadership.
In addition to what he did with his mind and arm, Wallace was equally as impressive as a runner, leading the team with 161 yards on just 6 carries.
This is a football player who was among the top 25 best in the pre-season, and with the way he jumped in and took control on offense, there is little doubt that when the next top player list for his class comes out, he will be right there again.
WALLACE WISHES: Was chosen as a 4A All-State Honorable Mention player for the Panthers last season as a sophomore. Is one of the top athletes in South Florida.
WHAT THE COLLEGE RECRUITERS ARE SAYING: "Exceptional athlete who has emerged as one of the state's top young football players. Over the next year, he will be looked at by every major college in the nation."
HIS BAGS ARE PACKED: Being early in the process, all the schools in the southeast, east and the midwest will be offering soon enough. His coach attended the University of Florida, which is always an option as well.
