MDVarsity.com - Whitman star gets offered

Walt Whitman's star athlete, Anthony Young-Wiseman has been sitting on two offers for the past month, but that all changed yesterday when the rising senior received his third.

The University of Maryland officially offered the 6-foot-1, 185-pound athlete, according to head coach Jim Kuhn.

Ralph Friedgen extended the offer and according to Kuhn it was for Young-Wiseman to play defensive back.

Young-Wiseman is coming off a junior year in which he made the transition from wide receiver to quarterback three games into the season and helped lead Whitman to the playoffs.

He also has offers from Syracuse, West Virginia and Duke.
