From Staff Reports
Tuscarora running back Dominic Clarke has been nominated for consideration to the U. S. Army All-American Bowl game, which will be played next year in San Antonio.
Clarke was among a list of 400 football players nationwide nominated for consideration to the 90-player roster, Tuscarora coach Shawn Carey said, adding he will know on Friday if Clarke has been selected to the 90-player squad, which will be play in the East vs. West Showdown.
Clarke said on Wednesday being among the nominees in itself is quite an honor. "That's pretty exciting," he said.
Clarke, a junior, rushed for 836 yard in eight games for the Titans last fall.
Every high school senior in the country is eligible for selection. The selection process kicks off at the U.S. Army National Combine and proceeds across the country during various combines, camps, and clinics.

Tuscarora's Dominic Clarke doubled in the 200 (22.64) and 400 (49.32), then brought the baton across the line for a win in the 1,600 relay.
He was particularly happy with his 400 time, a personal best. And Clarke -- a speed demon who also flies around the field as a running back in the fall and has received football scholarship offers from Maryland and Virginia -- did it in front of an important guest.
"If you look up there (in the bleachers), there's a Stanford coach," Clarke said of Cardinal offensive coordinator David Shaw.
