Anderson struggled for much of the day Sunday, finishing with seven points in an overtime victory against the Wisconsin Swing 16U squad coached by Dave Shaw, and then five points against the Swing team coached by Selk in the championship game. At the same time, Anderson’s value to the Playground Warriors was never more evident than in the title game. After getting two quick fouls and sitting on the bench for the final 12 minutes of the first half, Anderson’s presence on both ends of the court helped his team turn a 10-point halftime deficit into a 40-40 deadlock with just a couple minutes left in the third period. Anderson, who gave a verbal commitment to play at Wisconsin last week, is a far from finished product on offense, but he has a great work ethic and is showing marked improvement from month-to-month.
