Also, with 4 years, he could essentially be graduated anyway and he still would have gotten a free education. I don't think it is unreasonable.
I do think that pulling Evans' scholarship for a 2010 player may be unlikely. If we do not get Jamil and Evans proves to be a good practice squad guy next year and that he will be a contributer in the future (assuming he will redshirt), I don't see Bo yanking his scholarship for the 2010 class.....but who knows. I guess I only see the conditional scholarship for Jamil...a one scenario type thing.
In addition, I don't think it would look good for UW to be branded as having given out a conditional scholarship that is applicable in many differant situations. Kids will see this as a negative that a coach could just yank the rug out from under them if they think there is someone better.

Was that in response to my question? I was more asking which scenario Bernini (and others) thought was more likely for 2009. I don't think that the "take-back" clause would apply past 2009, and I think that it's even less likely that Gavinski wouldn't finish out his eligibility with the team, be it on scholarship or not. And I don't think that Bo would ask for it to sign anyone other than Wilson.
