Stinson is a tall wiry prospect who seems to shine as a pass rusher. He has a tall lean frame and looks on film to have a good wing span. He should be able to get into a college weight program and add good bulk and continue to fill out. He has a good get-off, but needs to be more consistent. In pass rush situations he has the burst to get an up-field speed rush. Can get to the outside shoulder of a blocker and displays the ability to dip and rip to get around the corner. Does a good job of taking advantage of a blockers mistake and can be dangerous with his speed if a blocker opens up too quickly. Displays the ability to use his reach and hands to his advantage. Displays the ability to get a good punch and execute some moves like the push-pull and the club and swim to help him get by a blocker. Can counter inside. Flashes the ability to be able to get into a blocker and bull-rush, but can play high at times and struggle if he lets a blocker get into his chest. Has an upright running style, but has good speed to pursue from the backside. Has a good motor and takes solid angles in pursuit. He is a solid wrap-up tackler. Displays adequate recognition skills. He is a physical player versus the run, but needs to be more consistent at using his hands to create separation and also to protect his legs. Needs to watch his pad level, but displays the ability to hold his ground and does a solid job of being able to squeeze down. Has good lateral movement. Needs to work on doing a better job of finishing. Stinson is a promising prospect. Displays the tools to be a menacing pass rusher at the college level and with further development could be a well rounded and productive defensive player in college.
