With over 30 scholarship offer Miller certainly has plenty of schools to choose from and mentions offers from Florida, Miami, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, West Virginia, Central Florida, South Florida, Georgia Tech and Rutgers, among others.

"I don't have a timetable yet," he admitted. "I'm looking to make sure I fit into the offense and the formations they run. Also the depth chart is going to be important because I want to play early."

While Miller says he's still fairly open, he admits favoring Miami slightly over Texas, Rutgers and Florida.

"I grew up on Miami," Miller said. "They have a lot of tradition and have some great players that went there, especially at running back. They just always seem to send guys to the NFL."

The 'Canes are about 10 minutes from Miller's house and that might work in Coach Randy Shannon's favor. "It's not a big factor, but I'd prefer to stay close," he said. "I went to their spring game and it's a nice atmosphere. There was a large crowd there and I liked getting a chance to meet a lot of the players. They seem like good guys.

"Coach Shannon is a great coach and a good man," Miller said. "I've talked to him a few times and he seems to have a good plan to get them back on top. He said they like my style and that I'd be able to really help them out on offense."

Miami is recruiting Miller the hardest, but it was their in-state rival, Florida, that was Miller's first offer last September.

"I went to Florida's Junior Day and it was real good," he said. "That's a great program. They have a real nice school and I liked everything there. The are good every year and it's a great atmosphere for football. The fans are great."

Although Miller isn't 100 percent sure about which camps he'll be attending this summer, he does think he'll make the Florida Gator camp. He also hopes to visit both Rutgers and Texas and learn more about those two programs.

"I like Rutgers because they like to run the ball," he admitted. "The people there are really into the team and they are still on the rise, so I could probably play early there.

"Texas has really good running tradition and I like the formation they run," he said. "They run the ball a lot and I think I could play early there too."

Miller is also being recruited for track. "I run the 100m (10.60) and the 4x1 relay," he said. "I have about three smaller offers, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna do track in college."

Miller needs to remain focused on qualifying academically. He reports a 2.3 core GPA and is taking the SAT on June 7 for the first time.
