Shows the body control to adjust to throws and the concentration to track down balls in the air and catch in a crowd. Displays an adequate vertical leap and will challenge for jump balls. Runs solid routes. Has good speed, but may lack legitimate field-stretching ability in college. Will make some vertical plays based on his ability to make tough catches, but could struggle to separate from speedy linebackers and safeties. Needs to get bigger and stronger to help him get clean releases. Can be knocked off his routes by bigger defenders. Lacks ideal elusiveness, but has enough wiggle to make a defender miss if he can catch on the run. He will be at his best in the short and intermediate ranges, but offers some punch on deeper passes. He's a physical blocker, despite his size. Shows the ability to step, reach and seal a defender. Makes good initial contact and drives his legs to get push. His form isn't always pretty, but he works to get his man blocked. Should develop into a strong blocker with additional bulk. DeCicco needs to hit a college weight program, but he's a good player who should become a well-rounded college tight end.
