Competition always needs to be factored into evaluations, but at the same time players shouldn't be condemned for it. You can only outplay the players you're playing against. That's a factor out of a prospect's control. Great players come from small schools too. Jimmy Leonhard comes to mind. Michael Strahan, Terrell Owens, Tony Romo, etc.; on the pro level.
