I also agree on Merril he is very fast and agile that play with Gilreath I thought was a bad call.

Phillips had two runs that also would have been pretty big gains if it were not for the touch rule.He also should have had two more big completions which were both dropped by Kosssoris.

Also I meant Brinkley was playing well not Nettles.

Also what did you think of Everidge?
Evridge played mediocre, at best, when factoring in his competition. I thought Phillips was the most impressive, regardless of expected stages of development.

I love Phillips to death, but he needs work. Pocket presence will come with time, but he looked awkward taking snaps. He threw the ball well though, and he did have two would have been nice runs. He also threw a few ill advised passes
Heavy, how can you possibly ask more out of a guy who should be a high school senior right now, just recently turned 18, and played in the spread-option beforehand? One pass was ill advised because he was trying to make a heroic throw for a 1st down on 3rd ala Brett Favre. He'll learn to play it safe and throw it out of bounds in time, but factoring in our wretched punting, that interception to Maragos essentially acted as a 25-30 yard punt down the sidelines. His pocket presence was fine. With his scrambling ability, he should be on the move at any sign of pressure.
