(Duke, NC)I don't think that Wisconsin has much of a chance at him, but if you guys get him, you're getting one heck of a player.
I've heard the reports that he bleeds Cyclone maroon and butt ugly yellow (not trying to be antagonistic, I just think those unis look like vomit)...but sorry...I just have a hard time believing a top 50 or so recruit will go to Ames until I see it.

I think Wisconsin has a niche in Barnes' recruitment. He's playing in a state with nothing remotely close to a powerhouse basketball school, he's from the midwest, and he reportedly plays a disciplined style similar to the Badgers. I'd liken his situation to Joe Krabbenhoft's.

From all the reports, Barnes is an intelligent guy. If he picks Iowa St., Wisconsin, or whoever; it will probably be a measured, well researched decision. And the recipient of his services will be very lucky. Either way, like Troy alluded to, 2010 is the best in state Wisconsin class since the first couple at least of this century; so we'll be covered.

Hey, how do they like Milwaukee's own Diante Garrett in Ames? The Badgers nearly offered and I was impressed with his skills in high school. The only issue was physical development.
