Jamil played in the Spring/Dean's-Food Classic in Sheboygan this past weekend. I don't know if anyone else is aware of the particular event, but I participated in it about 10 years ago, and my team got annihilated about 100-30 in the opening round. But I was my team's leading scorer with 12 points at least.
The competition is usually very stiff......
Nevertheless, Wilson's team (WOMT) disappointed in losing to a local team of no namers called the Elkhart Area Lakers. In addition to Wilson, the WOMT squad featured other notable Wisconsin basketballers like: Johnnie Lacy, Steve Stovall, Eric Williams, and Nathan Zastrow (committed to North Dakota St.). They were transferred to the elimination bracket where they eventually lost in the final. Wilson scored 20, 17, and 15 in 3 of the games.
I wish I was aware Jamil was competing in the tournament last week. I could have given an in person evaluation and possibly scored an interview.
