If not Taylor, then who will handle if either Hughes or JBo get injured or in foul trouble. Jordan Taylor will make some impact next year out of necessity. His role will probably lie somewhere between Hughes' and Harris' their freshman years as far as significance goes. I can't see Jarmusz or Krabbenhoft handling the ball even in a supplimentary role. Another wing isn't vital with Krabbe, Jarmusz, and Landry as the other options. Plus, as Heavy pointed out, Jordan Taylor is a well defined young man. Wilson is the opposite; physically immature. He'll need another year of development in the weight room and cafeteria to be Big 11 ready.
While we're talking about next year, the most important X-factor will be the development of Krabbenhoft's outside shot at this level. He's just wretched on the perimeter now because of a lack of confidence and textbook form. Everybody on our team being able to score from anywhere on our court would allow us to make us a bit better team offensively next year. We won't be as stout defensively losing some resistance in the forms of Flowers and Stiemsma. Jarmusz needs to show confidence in his jumper as well. He proved he can make it in high school and at 6'5, shouldn't have much deterrence especially if he plays shooting guard.
But I'm still captivated with this season's squad. Ken Pomeroy, only the most respected statistics guru in college basketball, picked the Badgers as his team to win the tournament. We are capable of beating anybody. The road just got a little bit easier when Davidson ousted G'town. There are a lot of similarities between us and Georgetown. However, in spite of what racial stereotypes might say, Wisconsin is a bit better athletically. Georgetown's guards especially are lead foots in comparison to Wisconsin. Flowers matches up with the dangerous Curry more than Rivers or Wallace. Hughes can stop ball penetration from their big time assist man, and get plenty of his own. Plus, we have the size advantage as well. Stiemsma, and Bo's willingness to utilize his skills, will always be a key to how far we go in the tournament while he's here.
