To go along with the JP comments, he is a really nice guy who shows a lot of team spirit (he has nicest towel waving form I have seen in some time). But as everyone else seems to think, he has a lot of progress to make before seeing minutes. I think something reasonable to shoot for would be something like Chappell - In other words maybe he will be a contributor in his senior season. I seen him play in the exhibition matches, where he showed sloppy hands and poor decisions - some of that could have been nerves - but seeing as Bo has not played him at all, and with the expectations of Leuer, Nankivil, Berggren and possibly Markolf all ahead of him in the depth chart for the next few years, we may never see JP on the floor. If he gives it his all in practice and makes the other guys better its hard to really complain. To have all 13 scholarship players be contributors is rare, and bigs are traditionally more hit and miss than at the other positions.

"Who just had that mean looking towel wave"
"That was JP on the figure eight"

"(The University of Minnesota) didn't really compare," UW Kicker Taylor Mehlhaff said. "I loved the atmosphere here. It was pretty easy to cross (Minnesota) off the list. I wanted to play at the highest level possible but I also wanted to have that college atmosphere."
