is on the list....
As far as Jim Brown is concerned, his college numbers just don't justify his inclusion
as a running back: 361 carries, 2,091 yards (5.8 average), 24 touchdowns. However, he also had 8 career interceptions and served as Syracuse's place kicker, so he would certainly be included on a poll of "multi-purpose players" (as would Hopalong Cassady, Doak Walker, and several other players from the 40's and 50's).
Of course, Brown went on to become the greatest pro running back of all time, but we are strictly dealing with college here.
