IMO, this kid is much more impressive than Ward, who is kind of a plodder, so the lack of offer here is inexplicable outside of position. We must specifically be looking for offensive tackles who we prefer to be 6'6" or more. Ultimately though, if you have all the tools necessary, it shouldn't matter. Mark Tauscher is 6'3" and didn't start until he was a senior at Wisconsin. When he finally was given a shot it was on the interior of the line. Now he's been a stud from day one with Packers at tackle, getting jobbed out of about 5 pro bowls. If you got it, you got it. Watt has the footwork and athleticism for a big guy to be an immense success blocking pass rushers in space. The kid seems to be genuinely interested.....and even OSU has seen his potential....I'd like to see the Badgers offer him as a tackle.
