'09 OH WR Perez Ashford (Official Offer)

My vote for top receiver in the state for '09...a virtual clone of Mario Manningham.

By Heath Schneider...getting letters from Penn State, Ohio State, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Akron and Tennessee. Says his dream offer is Georgia and is also very interested in OSU. Both Perez and his coach talks about his attributes on the field.

Watching the film the first thing you see is the kid has great hands...plays a lot taller than 5-11 because he attacks the ball in the air and can make some great catches in traffic. And these are highlights from his sophmore year...I'll be interested to see more from 2007.

As wadc stated, he attacks the ball in the air, plays bigger than his 5'11" height, he's a legit 4.4 guy or will be as he mature, and their is a fluidity in his game that you can't teach..

I like Fields and the Walker kid could be very good if he can add some speed, but right now I like Ashford as the top WR in Ohio, although as I said, it's not a strong WR class in state for 09
