Quote:
SCOUTING STARLING: If you want to know what kind of football talent this young man is, all you have to do is watch him play. Whether it's as a receiver or as a safety, where he is expected to be one of the best in the Southeast, this is a quality football talent.

His tackling skills are second to none. Very rarely will he miss an initial tackle. He loves to hit, which makes him so hard to run against. He is also a ball hawk on passing downs. We watched his cover skills when he moved over to play the cornerback position during his junior season on selected plays, and judging from the way he blanketed a receiver with his quickness, athletic ability and football skills, this will be one of the top defensive prospects in a class that already boasts a very talented group.

During his sophomore year, when the Trojans had him at a receiver position, coaches were amazed at the way he caught the ball and found a way to break free after the catch. This is a quality football talent who is has continued to get better and turned himself into quite a football prospect.

STARLING SUPERLATIVES:
Will be a three year starter on one of the elite programs in the state of Florida. In his junior season, he registered 83 tackles and 4 interceptions. He also has made it a priority to get it done in the classroom where he holds down a 3.2 grade point average.

He is the cousin of current University of Georgia standout defensive back Bryan Evans, who attended high school at Jacksonville Ed White.

Starling is also a member of the Lincoln High baseball team

WHAT THE COLLEGE RECRUITERS ARE SAYING:
"In an area of the state that is usually as talented as any in the country, here is yet another prospect who will be one of the best in the country when the process is completed in February of 2009."

HIS BAGS ARE PACKED:
While Florida has always been a favorite program of his, there are others who have already been bowled over by his play. Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Southern California, Alabama, Clemson and Auburn are there as well.
