SCOUTING MILLER: There are athletes you watch and spend time checking out the things they do well – and of course, not so well. This is one of those football players who just know how great he is the first time he carries the ball.
His speed, strength and ability to run tackle-to-tackle or bounce the play outside has already elevated him to a status that few backs in the area achieve. From the time he first carried the football, there was little doubt that he will be one of the best around.
Miller is a quality football player who learned how to block and catch the ball out of the backfield during his sophomore year. Chances are, by the time he graduates, he could be one of the top 10 backs of all time in Miami-Dade County.
Every opponent who has competed against this stellar football talent have said that he is as good as you get at this level, and when you are talking about some of the greats who have played in the region, this is one of those players who has two full years to make a major statement.
MILLER MANIA: Nearly 40 years ago, Miami Killian had a running back that had speed, power and was considered one of the best in the country. The name Rufus "The Roadrunner" Ferguson is someone that the longtime fans compare Miller to. Ferguson went on to play at the University of Wisconsin.
A track standout, Miller combines that rare speed, size and strength that the great backs have.
WHAT THE COLLEGES RECRUITERS ARE SAYING: "I have watched some great backs come out of Miami over the past decade, but I have rarely watched one with the talent and overall athletic ability this standout has at such a young age."
HIS BAGS ARE PACKED: While he hasn't really followed a lot of college football programs over the years, the University of Miami has to be the leader – very early on for this nationally-rated recruit.
