Relief pays off for Cocoa's Rowe

A Cocoa High senior, Rowe will sign a football letter-of-intent this afternoon with Rutgers University from the Big East Conference. The talented defensive back/wideout chose the Scarlet Knights over the University of Miami and South Carolina, he said.
A three-sport athlete, the 6-foot-1 Rowe has been on a tear of late for Cocoa's basketball team, which is coached by his father, James. Rowe is averaging 11.3 points for the season, but about 17 in recent weeks for the Tigers since selecting Rutgers. Cocoa entered district play this week.
