Jackson Central-Merry linebacker Gavin Hardin said today he will sign Wednesday with the University of Miami.

Hardin committed to Ole Miss after his junior season but changed his mind after the Rebels fired head coach Ed Orgeron.

"Miami, they play a hard defense," Hardin said. "They go after it every down. I do like that type of style."

He said he is not looking to redshirt and hoped to play his freshman season. Also, he said he doesn't expect to move to defensive line.

Hardin must still qualify academically. He said he plans to take the ACT again in a few weeks.
