The final stop on the recruiting trail for this campaign for Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden will be Fayetteville, NC. Bowden and recruiter Chris Rumph will visit Friday with TE Dwayne Allen (6-4 240) of Fayetteville, NC. Bowden will be the last of the five head coaches to visit Allen this week. Georgia's Mark Richt visited Thursday. Florida State's Bobby Bowden dropped in on Wednesday. Frank Beamer of Virginia Tech and Butch Davis of North Carolina visited on Monday. Allen, who remains committed to Georgia, is scheduled to visit Virginia Tech this weekend. He plans to announce his final plans sometime before National Signing Day.

Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden along with assistants Chris Rumph and Billy Napier are visiting Friday afternoon with the mother of TE Dwayne Allen (6-4 240) of Fayetteville, NC. Since Allen has a basketball game tonight, the coaches could not meet with him during the day. They will go to his game tonight and then talk to him afterwards. Allen, who has been committed to Georgia, is now deciding between the Bulldogs and Clemson according to his coach Wayne Inman. He will not take his scheduled visit to Virginia Tech this weekend. He's also dropped Florida State and North Carolina. "I wish I knew his thinking," Inman said. "His brain has turned to jello." Inman said Allen could tell him of a decision Saturday, or it might not be until Monday.

Allen has been committed to Georgia, and though Clemson made a strong push in recent weeks, he is expected to stick with his commitment to the Bulldogs. Allen met with Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden and assistants Chris Rumph and Billy Napier Friday night after his basketball game. "It went well," he said. "Coach Bowden is a nice guy." The Shrine Bowler also considered Florida State, North Carolina and Virginia Tech. He canceled a scheduled visit for Virginia Tech this weekend.
