Trahan commits to Rebels

Ole Miss is confident that former Texas quarterback Jevan Snead can make its offense dangerous again, and the Rebels' hopes on defense were bolstered Thursday by another transfer.

Former Auburn linebacker Patrick Trahan, who left the Plains as a starter and spent last season at Northwest (Miss.) Community College, committed to Ole Miss Thursday, choosing the Rebels over the Tigers, Oklahoma State and LSU.

"I just think Ole Miss is the best place for me and it is a great opportunity for me to help a new program," Trahan told Scout.com, which ranked Trahan the nation's No. 1 junior college prospect.
