Like so many talented football players in this state, here is yet another one that Floridafb.com has had on our radar for over two years now.

He was among the top 25 players listed in the Florida Football Magazine as elite stars to watch for this past season, and we certainly were on the mark.

Today, IN THE HUDDLE takes you back to the Tampa area to check out one of the fastest rising defensive talents in the state of Florida, and will certainly become a national recruit by the start of the 2008 season.

IN THE HUDDLE has taken you to practice sessions in Milton, pre-game workouts in Quincy, and camps and combines from Lake Worth to the the Tampa area where Giddins and his impressive teammates will once again be back in the mix in 2008.

THE GIDDINS REPORT
NAME: Ryne Giddins
SCHOOL: Armwood
CITY: Seffner
POSITION: DE
HEIGHT: 6-4
WEIGHT: 225
40 TIME: 4.66 (Reported)
HEAD COACH: Sean Callahan

SCOUTING GIDDINS: After watching this talented football player compete since his sophomore seqason, there is little doubt that he will become one of the elite players in the Sunshine State once again during the 2008 season.

He combines strength, quickness, athletic ability and football skills to become a top prospect.Although we have had the pleasure of watching him live on several occasions in games and at camp settings, you are always impressed at the things that he does when the film is not focusing on his every move.

This is a total team player who often gets double teamed, opening the way for his teammates to make the headlines. When he is matched against a tight end or tackle, his quickness and strength are evident. He plays off blocks as well as any of the top defensive end prospects we have watched over the past few years.

His knowledge of the game is impressive. On a series of plays, he is always around the ball. Whether it's a running down or one that the opposition attempts to pass, he is there either making the initial hit or finishing off the plays.

This is a football talent who has gotten bigger and stronger, matching himself up against the best around
