Here is my take on the situation...this was my response to the following question on BP:
Wad, is there anything you think the staff could have done differently with Cordale? Or was this just simply a case of Cordale falling in love with Illinois?
No one outworks the OSU staff...but Zook is a heck of a recruiter and he has a great staff with guys like Wolford and Locksley. I highly doubt JT and his staff could have done anything more. Sometimes a kid just likes what he sees at one school more than any other. The one thing you don't get a lot of from a program like Illinois (and most of the Big 10 for that matter) is negative recruiting. I have heard multiple recruits say that. I just think they did a great job of selling Cordale on the program and there is an obvious vibe on that team right now because almost every kid who visits talks about the team chemistry and how good it is...
Again, this is all just my opinion based on what I have seen and heard...
We'll see if that line about negative recruiting holds true now that RR has entered the league...
