'11 PA TE Ben Koyack

Rivals Profile
Scout Profile

Oil City (PA) Oil City Senior

Height: 6-foot-5
Weight: 220 lbs

Bill Kurelic: It's no surprise that the region's top linebackers were the showstoppers at Penn State - ESPN

Quote:
Tight end Ben Koyack (Oil City, Pa.) was among four very talented Class of 2011 prospects who stood out. Koyack looks even bigger than his listed size of 6-foot-5 and 228 pounds. He does not have great speed, but he looked fast enough in drills and showed the ability to catch the ball with a defender draped all over him. Koyack will be one of the country's top tight ends in 2011.
BN $ - Bucknuts.com - Buckeye Rumblings From State College, Pa.

Already has offers from the likes of Penn State, Pitt, Florida, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Boston College, Maryland and North Carolina State...has visited OSU and considers them one of his top choices along with PSU, Pitt and WVU.

State College vs. Columbus -

All signs continue to point towards a Big Ten recruiting battle between Penn State and Ohio State for the services of junior tight end target Ben Koyack from Oil City, Pa.

Koyack visited the two schools earlier this summer and has scholarship offers on the table from both. After the second of the two visits, a trip to Columbus to visit the Buckeyes on July 22, Koyack said the two were tied at the top of his list.

That has not changed.

By Brian Mohr. Ben has written offers from Pitt, WVU, Akron, Maryland, Ohio State, Cal, and UNC...he has verbal offers from BC, Duke, ND, NC State, PSU, and VT. Koyack talks about his visit to Ohio State for the USC game and their recruiting efforts on him...next visit will be PSU for the Ohio State game in November. Talks about what he is looking for in a college, and says he is focusing on schools that are really close...isn't sure he'll see schools that are out of driving distance.

By Sean Fitz. Ohio State is at the top for Ben, followed by PSU...then WVU, ND, and Pitt. Ben hopes to make a decision prior to his senior season, and will be attending the Pitt-ND game as well as PSU-Ohio State....hasn't talked much with PSU recently but likes the whole program.
