Quote:
USC gave out their most recent offer to defensive tackle Cassius Marsh, who actually transferred from St. Bonaventure (Ventura, Calif.) last year, ESPN affiliate Web site WeAreSC.com reports.

Marsh has become a hot commodity for college coaches in search of an impact three-technique defensive tackle, including offers from schools such as Oregon, Arizona, Washington with an offer from UCLA on the way.

Although the entire Pac-10 is heavily recruiting the Oaks Christian standout, he has his eyes set on two schools at the top of his list.

"I'm going to have to say USC and Texas are my favorites," explained Marsh, whose brother, Curtis Marsh is currently a sophomore at Utah State. "I want to go to a big-time program that contends for national championships every year. I also want to go somewhere with good weather." "I want to commit by the time I get back to school. I'll probably go to the USC camps over the summer and a few others, I'm not sure," added Marsh.

2/12

By B Huffman. USC, UCLA and Cal lead for Marsh who says that he likes the fact that all are close to home and that he could get early playing time. Playing time, ability to put players into the NFL, how he gets along with the staff and the ability to play for NC's will be the major facors in his choice.

Cassius Marsh - College Football Recruiting 2010 - ESPN

Quote:
Cassius Marsh, a highly-recruited 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive lineman from Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.), has reopened his recruitment after earlier pledging to California.

Marsh is now considering the Bears, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Southern California. Among many others are Oregon and UCLA.

He spoke with ESPN affiliate Web site BearInsider.com about the move, "It was a situation where I found it difficult to continue to evaluate other programs in my current situation as a committed player so I decided to back away from that a little bit for right now."

"Cal's by far my number one choice right now," continued Marsh. "My heart's really with the Golden Bears. I just really wanted to make sure I'm making the right decision and approaching things the right way."

As a junior, Marsh had 55 tackles and six sacks while helping the Lions to an unbeaten 14-0 record.

College Football Recruiting On the Trail 2010 - ESPN

Quote:
Cassius Marsh (Westlake Village, Calif./Oaks Christian) spoke with ESPN affiliate Web site EyeOnTheTigers.com about his recent visit to Baton Rouge, La.

"It was awesome. Awesome. It was great to meet the coaches and spend time there. It was cool." He added, "Right now LSU is my leader."

"I have family that lives in Baton Rouge, so that's great. Some of my mom's side of the family lives there. It makes it easier on everyone to think that I am not going off to college and being totally alone."

USC and Arizona State are also still in the mix. Marsh previously held a commitment to Cal.
