From the Auburn site. Scott says his goal this year is to gain 1000 yards rushing and receiving. Auburn leads Florida and South Florida, all who have offered.

Auburn lands running back for 1st football commitment for 2009 -- -- OrlandoSentinel.com
Quote:
Auburn is on the board for its 2009 recruiting class.
The Tigers, who annually raid Florida for football talent, received a commitment from running back Rodney Scott of Cross City Dixie County.
Scott (5-9/185) reportedly narrowed his double-digit offers to three and selected the Tigers over South Carolina and USF.
Scott is the state's 28th early, non-binding commitment.

ESPN 150 Watch List running back Rodney Scott told affiliate Web site GatorCountry.com, "I didn't decommit yet. If another school comes around that I like, then I will. It seemed like the right choice earlier, but now I'm rethinking."
Scott mentioned that Florida, Florida State, South Florida, South Carolina and Mississippi are still in the running for his signature and that he wants to play closer to home.

September 1st was the first day college football recruiters could make phone calls to prospects for the fall recruiting period, and one player contacted by USC was RB Rodney Scott (5-10 195) of Cross City, FL. Scott said he talked with Gamecock recruiter Shane Beamer. "He told me to keep in mind South Carolina because I could be the next running back at South Carolina," Scott said. He also took calls from Ole Miss and Auburn Monday night. Scott has been committed to Auburn but is now actively looking around at other options. On a scale of one to five, Scott said the firmness level of his commitment is a three. "I'm still committed but I'm just taking a look around at some other schools," Scott said. "Auburn would like me to shut it down, but I think I made my decision a little too early." Scott said USC is one of the four schools he's considering along with Auburn, Ole Miss and South Florida. "They like to run the ball," he said of the Gamecocks. "Coach Spurrier is a good coach. I liked what he did at Florida." Scott has never been to USC. He does not have any plans to take in any games this season, and he's not set his official visits, though he will with his four favorites.

Green, Scott Schedule USC Visits
By Phil Kornblut
DB Justin Green (5-10 180) of Louisville and RB Rodney Scott (5-0 195) of Cross City, FL have scheduled official visits with USC. Green has been committed to Ohio State but has been looking around. Clemson, Alabama, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville and Tennessee are other schools he's been considering. Scott has been committed to Auburn but has been actively looking around, too. Ole Miss and South Florida are two others he's looking at strongly.
