The University of Kentucky football team landed one of the biggest commitments of coach Rich Brooks' tenure on Friday when highly touted Texas quarterback Ryan Mossakowski picked the Wildcats.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Mossakowski, who plays for Centennial High School in Frisco, is considered a four-star prospect (out of five stars) by Rivals.com, which ranks him as the No. 5 pro-style quarterback in the nation, with the second-strongest arm.

Ranked the No. 127 player in the country overall and No. 13 in Texas by Rivals, Mossakowski picked UK over Texas A&M and Alabama.

"I'm thrilled that it's over," he told the Dallas Morning News, adding that he was drawn to the Cats' passing offense.
