USC jumped on WR Terrell Mitchell (6-6 225) of Powder Springs, GA quickly and was the first school to offer the junior. "He was fired up as most kids would be," said McEachern coach Jimmy Dorsey. Mitchell also has an offer from Kentucky while Michigan appears close to offering. He's also getting interest from Auburn, Alabama, Florida and Georgia. Last season Mitchell had 40 catches with 7 going for touchdowns. "He plays tight end but scoots out to play wide receiver," Dorsey said. "He has unbelievable hands. He's a great jumper and has that knack about timing, jumping and using his body. When it doubt we jus throw it to the tall guy." Michtell grew up in New Orleans but left the area after Katrina. He also plays basketball.

WR Terrell Mitchell (6-6 225) of Powder Springs, GA recently added offers from Michigan and Central Florida to his list. He also has offers from USC and Kentucky, and he's hearing from Florida and Rutgers. Mitchell said he's getting a lot of mail from USC and talked with recruiter Shane Beamer last week. "He just wanted to catch up with me and see how things are," Mitchell said. "I have a lot of interest in them." But right now he's favoring Michigan. "They pass the ball a lot," he said. Mitchell plans to attend Kentucky's spring game the end of this month.

Georgia WR Likes USC
By Eric Guimaraes
WR Terrell Mitchell (6-6 220) of Powder Springs, GA has named USC among his top three. He also likes Kentucky and West Virginia. Mitchell has offers from these three schools. His other offers are Michigan, Central Florida, and Louisville. Mitchell likes the Gamecocks because, "they like to throw the ball." He wants to play at a school that puts the ball up. Mitchell is currently a wide receiver but thinks that if his body grows during his senior year, he will likely move to tight end. "We'll just have to see what happens," he said, "I'm not sure whether I'll grow or not." The tall receiver from Georgia also plays basketball and runs track. He believes that has helped him get faster. "The last time I ran the 40, I ran a 4.6. I know I'm faster than that now. I just haven't run the 40 recently." Mitchell plans to take an official visit to USC and wants to announce his commitment at the end of the football season. He has not named a leader. Shane Beamer is his USC recruiter.

McEachern tight end Terrell Mitchell has scheduled his official visit to Georgia for Jan. 16.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pound Mitchell has not yet been offered by the Bulldogs, but has been told is under heavy consideration.
Mitchell was invited by UGA assistant coach John Lilly. He is a definite target for the Bulldogs if UGA does not land tight end Orson Charles of Plant High School in Tampa, Fla. Georgia has one commitment at tight end, Arthur Lynch of Dartmouth, Mass.
Regardless of what UGA decides to do, Mitchell has plenty of options: He currently has offers from Clemson, Kentucky, South Carolina, Louisville, West Virginia and Michigan. Rivals.com ranks him as the 35th best tight end on the country.
Mitchell will make an official visit to Clemson this weekend, and he traveled to Kentucky last month.

From CaneSport...will either visit Miami this weekend or will wait until next weekend and won't announce until after signing day...leaning towards Michigan and Kentucky but is definitely interested in Miami.

McEachern tight end Terrell Mitchell said the phone call he expected from UGA never came, therefore he committed to Kentucky on Saturday.
“I haven’t talked to [Georgia] in a long time … three weeks or more,” Mitchell said. “They haven’t even attempted to call. I guess I’ll see Georgia next when we [Kentucky] play Georgia.”
The 6-foot-6, 225-pound Mitchell committed to Kentucky over Michigan. He said Miami and Georgia had shown interest, but neither offered.
“Kentucky has been with me since the start,” Mitchell said. “I liked Kentucky and Michigan about the same. But Kentucky is in the South, closer to home. My family will get to come to a lot of my games. I don’t think they’d go all the way to Michigan to see me as much.”
Miami made a late run at Mitchell, with the Hurricanes offering an official visit for this weekend. “They didn’t offer me, but I didn’t want to play in the ACC. I think the SEC is the best football conference.”
Mitchell said he is close to meeting college entrance requirements.
