CHICAGO (December 4, 2008) — In its third decade of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, The Gatorade Company, in partnership with ESPN RISE Magazine, today announced Tyler Russell of Meridian High School as its 2008-09 Gatorade Mississippi Football Player of the Year. Russell is the fourth Gatorade Mississippi Football Player of the Year to be chosen from Meridian High School.
