"Mississippi State is my favorite team right now," Montrell Conner said. "I love how they run their offense. It's a running team and I think I'd fit in well. I think that coach Sylvester Croom is gonna turn them all the way around. He took them from a team with a losing record to a bowl game last year. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years they are playing for the national championship..."

ESPN - Montrell Conner Rankings, Grade, News, Stats - College Football Recruiting 2009

Quote:
Montrell Connor told ESPN affiliate Web site BullDawgJunction.com that Mississippi State, Tennessee, Oklahoma and USC are currently on top of his list.

Connor also gave a timetable for his decision, "I am going to wait and go through the whole process and then commit during my senior year. So far, (the recruiting process) hasn't bothered me any and I am enjoying the process."

Additionally, the Under Armour All-American mentioned that former Mississippi State and current Atlanta Falcons running back Jerious Norwood is one of his favorite football players.

Last fall, the highly coveted junior rushed for 1,139 yards and scored 13 touchdowns.

By S Robertson. Committed to Mississippi State. Conner liked the fact that the coaches were up front and honest with him, and says the coaches are like fathers. He wanted to play in the SEC and stay close to home, so Miss State was and easy choice. He is excited to be part of what he calls a program on the rise.
