The top DT recruit for 09 is a kid named Corey Adams. Big buckeye fan from Arizona. He's a lock to get an offer soon maybe as early as September 1st.
|
Corey already claims offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan, and Oregon State.

Saguaro's defenders not content with 1 title

They're a little bigger, a little faster, a little more buffed.
If they weren't hard enough on opponents last season when Saguaro's defensive front was the strength of a 13-1 championship football team, Derek Bisgard, Corey Adams and Chris Merrill are determined to make it harder this year.

Merrill has committed to play at Arizona. Adams, only a junior but the biggest at 6 feet 3, 275 pounds, said he has received offers from UA, ASU, Michigan and Oregon State. He said he will wait until his senior year to make a decision.

Adams already has drawn national recruiting attention. The 6-foot-4, 272-pound strongside defensive end has early offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan, Oregon State. After a sophomore season that saw him rack up 52 tackles, five sacks and one fumble recovery, there are huge expectations for him in the 2007 season. He was one of the best players at the Los Angeles NIKE Training Camp earlier this spring. College scouts love his ability to get after the football, but with his size he could eventually spin down to a defensive tackle on the next level. “I know I need to get faster to be where I want to be as one of the best in the nation,” Adams said. “But I’m pleased with where I’m at now. I just have to keep working hard.” Definitely expect Adams to be one of the West’s best prospects in the class of 2009.

Saguaro DL Adams has 7 offers
Quote:

Saguaro defensive lineman Corey Adams has both feet firmly on the ground. That's a good thing because all of the scholarship offers from major college football programs can put a junior's head in the clouds.
Adams, only two games into his junior season, said he has received seven offers. The latest came from national champion Florida.
That's funny because Adams at one time this summer had "Gator hater" on his cell phone voice message.
"I never hated Florida," Adams said. "I'm an Ohio State fan. The whole Florida thing was because my buddies would keep calling me (and rub it in that Florida beat Ohio State in the national championship game)."
Adams' other offers have come from Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon, Oregon State, Michigan and Nebraska.
He said he's not waiting for Ohio State to come around to offer, adding, "I'm not looking for any particular school."

Corey's coach clarifies that he does not have an offer from tOSU but he has received personal letters from Coach Tressel. He has over 30 offers with USC, ND, Arizona State, and tOSU as schools of high interest.
