The Purdue football program added another player from Florida when Miami Central defensive end Kevin Pamphile signed a national letter of intent this morning.
The 6-foot-5, 240-pound Pamphile selected the Boilermakers over scholarship offers Florida Atlantic, Middle Tennessee State and Kent State.
This past season was Pamphile's first playing football.
"After my 11th grade year, there were a lot of scouts coming out," Pamphile said. "I decided to play football. I wanted to play earlier but my mom insisted I didn't play because she thought I might get hurt. I came out in the summer and trained with the team."
