Compton (Calif.) defensive tackle Justin Brown took his first official visit to Colorado this past weekend.
"It was incredible," Brown said. "Boulder is an incredible place and I loved everything about it. I really bonded with all the players, that was probably the highlight for me. Everyone gets along so good there and it felt like one big family to me.
"It was seriously hard for me not to commit. The only thing that kept me from committing is I want to check out a few more schools to make sure of my decision. I'm going to Oregon next weekend and I'm still trying to decide where I'll go in two weeks."
In the last month, Brown has become one of the hottest recruits in the state. Nebraska and Nevada were the latest schools to offer after Arizona State, Washington State, Hawaii, Idaho and New Mexico State joined Colorado and Oregon.
Earlier in the day, we mentioned that Compton (Calif.) defensive lineman Justin Brown would be deciding between his three finalists, Oregon, Colorado and Arizona State. Brown made his choice moments ago.
"I'm going to Oregon," Brown said. "I loved all three places but the chance to play early at Oregon was what put them over the top. I loved the facilities and the coaches and I got along well with the players there. It was a tough decision but Oregon was just the best fit for me."
Brown visited Colorado two weeks ago and then took a mid-week visit to Oregon last week before heading to Arizona State over the weekend. He said ASU was his runner up.
