Gordo athlete Lanier set for Auburn
Athlete Izauea Lanier of Gordo, Ala., has become first commitment to Auburn under new head coach Gene Chizik.

Lanier, who was recruited as a safety, chose the Tigers over offers from Mississippi State, Kentucky and Troy.

From the AU site. More on the verbal. Lanier got the offer Monday night, and it didn't take him long to accept the offer. He is being recruited as a safety by the Tigers, which he says is fine, as he is just glad to have the chance to play at the next level.
